Working on a New....

I know I haven't been blogging lately but there is something that I have been working on. It is a new site and new branding for my business. I am saving all my blog post for what is to come. Once I get my new blog/website up I will be blogging a lot more. So get ready to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a little read in my life.

I woke up on November 6, 2010 with a big smile. One because it was my Husbands birthday. Two because my best friends were getting married. What a DAY! I got ready, drove to Media City Church where Shane and Carrie have made so many memories together.

I am so excited to share these photos with everyone. It was such an amazing wedding. Filled with the Groom crying seeing his Bride walking down the aisle. Too the Bride doing her little sweet I...Love...You...to her proud father.

Are you wondering why colors for my title? Well, it is the colors in one of my friends wedding. Yup...Shane and Carrie Russell....It's that TIME...time to share photos from a very emotional, loving and fun wedding. I am going to break this post into 2 different ones. First, the details then I will share photos of the bride and groom documenting their day.

Carrie went to Ikea to get these black lanterns. And since Carrie LOVES the fall weather she collected leaves and put them inside with a simple white candle.

They had a Wishing Tree. As people came in they stopped by the Wishing Tree to give Carrie and Shane encouraging words. That they would later read. Love this idea!

Missing Family....Having a Funky Day

Yesterday was a funky kinda day for me. I had so much on my mind and so much stress that it just kinda set me back. You see....I am normal I do have off days..haha..

All I wanted to do was cry as proceeded with my day. I felt so overwhelmed with a bunch of things. One huge thing is not having my family near me. Trust me I LOVE LOVE LOVE living in California and probably will not move because I love it that much. But not having my family near me that I can call Shaina or Melissa up and say, "Hey you wanna meet me for Coffee or go for a walk or just talk in person?" Thinking about it makes me tear up. I know that my sisters have been feeling the same way. I think it might make it harder now that they both have children. And I know they grow up extremely fast. So many things change with children that I want to be involved in everything. Not being involved in day to day life is quite difficult.

Is it also because of the Holidays? Is that why I feel sad? I asked myself all day. Then I just myself its okay to just have a day after work just to....be....

Now that it has been a day of quietness it is time to go back to the positive and God has reminded me of what I have in life. Where I am going. What I am going to be.

Thankfully I have two amazing sisters that do Skype and talk about Auntie Me Me ALL OF THE TIME! So I know that my two nephews will never forget about me. Thank you for that!

She is such an awesome lady. I just love this girl. She is my hair dresser and I have got to say I wouldn't go to anyone else. I love what she does ALWAYS!
Cassie one of the stylist and Martina were working on Cassie's halloween costume. I came in to get my hair done and well it all unfolded from there. Martina wanted to take photos of the costume with full make up and hair done.
I was all in. First of all it was so much fun. I love doing spontaneous shoots like this. It really gets the creative juices flowing. These two girls were so much fun to work with.
I have always wanted to do a shoot by Front Street in Burbank. So I suggested that and we were headed there. It was raining but it worked out well because as you can see in the photos I was able to get some refection shoots. That were just AMAZING. I love it when everything works out.

Thank you Cassie for being such a fun Model to work with and to Martina you always make me laugh. Can't wait to work with the T-Bird Girls again!

Breezy Weather, Wagons and Reindeers

When I was in Washington recently I met up with the Hudson family. Just a block away from where David and Rhiannon were married we did a family shoot at their friends house. Now this was not just any shoot it was the Coldest I have ever photographed in so far. Everyone did such an amazing job though with huddling close and blowing on hands to keep each other warm.

I really liked this photos because of their shadows.

Everyone in this family has such beautiful eyes. But then again I am a fan of blue eyes since it is my eye color also :)

I had to post this photo it makes me laugh. I love moments like this a yawn and hair in the face. Too funny.

Trains, Marriage, Family

As we were praying for no rain on the way up to Santa Barbara. I saw clear skies and was so thankful that God provided an absolutely beautiful day for a family shoot. I met the Byer family at a very special place the Santa Barbara Stow House. Why is it special you ask? Well, because it is the place where Dan and Jeanine exchanged there wedding vows. As I was taking the photos of the Byers family I was thinking how awesome is it that everything is coming full circle for the family. Marriage and now a family photo shoot with their family.

I didn't even know about this beautiful location and I lived just a few miles down the road from it.
Thank you Byer family for taking me to such a spectacular location and for allowing me to be apart of something special.

Next thing I know it the kids are in the tree I LOVE IT!!! I love these photos

Fun in the Sand, Winter Hats, and Chu Chu Trains

I feel so bad because I have fallen behind on blogging my clients photos. So be prepared for lots of photos coming your way! Kinda makes me excited like opening presents on Christmas day.

First family is the Salsburey Family. I have had the privilege of photographing this family before and I have got to say they are super fun. Gavin is growing up so fast. Starting to say tons of words. It just to cute.

We went to the Buena Vista Library right here in Burbank, CA. They have a playground and some cool architect.

The Salsburey's bought these hats in Portland, OR. I love it when my clients bring props makes taking photos fun!

It is about day 5 of constant rain in California now. I have to say it is way different having rain in California then Washington. I have because used to the constant sun or lack of rain here in CA. And well now I am just tired of the rain and really wishes it will stop. Here is to hoping tomorrows weather report is correct and no rain as they predict.

Today is especially bad along with the rain is thunder storms. When I went to work this morning the sun was trying to peak out but then the gray clouds won over and the water started to burst out. I have been inside my little house ever since I got back from work and been scouring the internet for learning materials.

Like I have said before I think you can never stop learning so I have been taking the time to learn about Time Management, Product for clients, Where I want my business to grow, kinda just doing an over look on everything. One thing that I was reading that totally stuck out to me is, "You must make sacrifices in one area to achieve in another." This is SO GOOD!

During these stormy days I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning. I really can't wait for next year to see what it has in store for my business.

So grab a cup of Hot Chocolate don't forget the whip cream and enjoy these last few days of 2010. And reminisce in what God has done in your life.

As the new year is coming so quickly it makes me think about so many things. Like WOW my business has grown so much I Can't even BELIEVE IT! And it makes me SOOOO excited to see what is in store for next year. With clients already booking with me for weddings for 2011. (OMG is this really happening.) Okay, YES Amy it is!

I have been taking the time in looking into my business and learning everything that I can to make it better. For one thing I am always looking for some inspiration. Magazines, stores, internet, and many other things. I have something planned that I think will make my business more ME. First of all because of you Yes you my blog reader friends. I will be creating a blog/website. I love that I have people following my blog and seeing what I have been up to. I really think that the internet is such a huge part of branding and establishing who you are and what you want to be.
Also to the many of people that have spread the word I really appreciate you. Because people trust people and having you share things about me and my business has been a HUGE help. Seriously I have had the BEST clients out of word of mouth. You truly know what I am about.

So with that I wanted to share some inspiration that I have in my house right now. I make a new board every so often. And I really don't think my mind ever shuts down. lol.

I feel so blessed that I was able to be at Connor's dedication. I didn't even know that Shaina and Dylan were going to do that until a couple days before I flew out to Washington. There were so many people that came to support Connor. He has many family and friends praying for him. I'm so excited to see him grow up in such a loving family.

Dylan leads worship at Living Water Regal service. He was there in the beginning when they started having service at the theater. And it was only fitting to have Connor dedicated there.

Pastor Tim and Dhana did the dedication. They are such AMAZING people and just love Shaina and Dylan so much. Dhana was Shaina's dual and I have to tell you that she is the BEST! Truly there are no words to describe how much it ment to Shaina to have her there during Connor's birth.

Connor was wearing a super cute outfit that I gave him yesterday. And I am so in love that if I ever have a boy....Shaina will for sure have to send me this one to me. It is so adorable.

Now that Connor is almost 3 months he is smiling all the time. He loves being close to your face and then gives you a huge smile. Just the cuttest thing EVER!

I have been also taking some video of him. And by the end of my trip I will share a little bit of what he has been doing.

Thanksgiving Day and a Best Friend

Today I am spending Thanksgiving with my Husband. I have waited so long to say that. I can't even believe that it is real. To think that my dreams have come true that I have married my best friend. Wow! God so knows what he is doing!

Yesterday we have been married for 4 months. And even though we have only had a handful of days that we have both had days off. It has truly been an adventure. We came back from our honeymoon and we both went straight to work. Honestly, it was hard at first. I still wanted to be on honeymoon time. Waking up with my husband, sitting by the pool, reading a book, going snorkeling, having dinner together every night, and going to bed together.
But it has been kinda a whorl wind since we have been back. You see our schedules are pretty much opposite. I work in the morning he sleeps in because he got off work at 2am. Then I come home from work. I usually edit photos at home then he goes to work. It is pretty much the same thing everyday. But I seriously wouldn't want to have a crazy work schedule with anyone other then my best friend.

Oh my goodness I am getting teary-eyed just writing this. Because it makes me so happy to be with my husband. That I get to spend the rest of my day with YOU....YES YOU AND ME BABE!

You support me in my hardest times. When I am down you lift me up. When I am crying you hold me. When I am just plain weird you laugh with me. When I don't understand you explain. I love that we can just be crazy together.
Thank you for that.

Here are just a couple moments in my mans life. He came along with me to a family shoot the other day. And I just had to get a couple pictures of what he does on a Sunday. Yup my man is checking his Football Stats.

Sneak Peek: Angie Breed

I had to share a little sneak peek of one of the shoots I have been working on. I have been editing a TON lately and I am so grateful for all of the work that God has given me.

Following my dream doing photography is so rewarding. To think about where I was in my life in the past 5 years since I have lived in California is crazy. Going from Nannying to full-time photography is just unbelievable. I have always wanted to just do photography and nothing else. And it is happening!

God totally knows what he is doing. He has given me a husband who fully supports and encourages me in the gift that God has instilled in me. And He has provided clients that are AMAZING!

A Pumpkin Festival

For this year Media City Church put on a Pumpkin Festival. Filled with lots of people and you can't forget CANDY!!!!
Kids would come in and decorate a bag then go around to all the different activities to receive some candy.

I loved this

The kids had a HUG Blow up. All with wall to climb pillars to go through and a slide. The line never ended it was a BIG HIT! I had fun watching everyone come down the slide. There faces were priceless.

There was even a Pumpkin skit.

This is the Trick-Or-Treating hall. Every door had some people with candy and they all helped pass out the goods. Everyone had so much fun at the MCC Pumpkin Festival. To all the volunteers you were just AMAZING!!!!

Black Light...Mexican Food...Day of the Dead

Yesterday the Turnbows had a sneak peek of the movie Nijito that they made.
Seeing everyone dress up was so much fun. They had black lights so everything was glowing and Halleh and David provided glow paint. Which then everyone that came in received some on there faces. It looked so crazy.

The O'Daniel Family is just so sweet. I am so in love with these kids because they run around and are just themselves. And yes I love a challenge. lol

The all got together for Damon's 40th birthday party. It was such a special time because this was the first time Damon and Michelle's families have met. Because Damon has just found his birth parents. I feel so honored to be apart of there lives. Everyone was just so kind they made me feel a part of their family. I love it when that happens.

That is one of the many things I love about my job.

Church Work Day

Last Saturday there was a Church Work day for Media City Church. Josh and I went to help take photos and video to document the day. It was really fun just hanging out with everyone and seeing how everyone came together to help revamp our church. They all work so hard moving things around....deep cleaning...throwing things out...starting with the new.

I am so excited to see where God is taking Media City Church. It has been a huge blessing being apart of the unity that God is bringing in our church.

To everyone that helped out you are Truly AMAZING the church will be that much better because of you and your servant-hood.

He proposed to her downtown Olympia, Wa. at a three tier fountain. She said yes and he couldn't wipe the smile off of his face.

I have known Brandon since High School we used to go to the same church youth group. He is just the sweetest guy with such a big heart. This was my first time hanging out with Jamie and I have got to say you make me laugh. You have such a contagious smile. I love that about you.

One thing I love about doing an engagement session with my clients is that we get to just hang out. And I get to see their personalities and how they interact with one another. And also I love how Jamie told me that she was nervous about doing the shoot. But I just told her that this is what I love about this time with you guys. You get to get it all out. So that on your wedding day it is like I am not even there because you are already used to being in front of the camera....then we laughed because she said that it really is not bad at all...

I just have to say that she is SO BEAUTIFUL.
I grew up with her family and the last time I saw her she was a little girl barely walking. I couldn't believe how fast she has grown into such an AMAZING women.

A bitter sweet goodbye

I waited at the table as my parents were holding Connor and then it was time to go. I had to hold him one more time. So I went over to Dylan and put my hands around Connor and held him. I asked Shaina if she could take a couple last photos before I left.
I have realized that it is really hard being the photographer. I really need to focus on getting some pictures where I am in the photos.
I was so sad to leave... actually started to get teary-eyed as I gave him back to Dylan. I can't help myself he is so cute and cuddly.

He was so sleepy...

Thank you Shaina for capturing these for me. I will never forget my time I got to have with him.

Connor Day 4...

Day 4 of Connor being born.
Yesterday was such a nice relaxing restful day for everyone. Connor was eating well peeing, pooping and just movin around.
Today he gets to go to the Doctor's and have his first check up since venturing out into this world.
And today I leave to go back home to my hubby. Can't wait to see him that's for sure. But I am sure going to miss hearing all of Connor's little sounds. And even his cry when he is hungry :) I love that sound.
I am so grateful that I was here to be apart of everything it has been so much fun.

Connor 3 Days Old

Connor and I did a little photo shoot today since I will be leaving tomorrow I have to get my fill in. And he just finished feeding so I was like LETS DO IT!!!

So I put him on Shaina's bed and here is what we ended up with. He was WIDE awake and so SUPER cute. I love the ones at the end.

There engagement was one of a kind. Not because Matt proposed at Disneyland under sparkeling lights but because Jenny had no clue. How could you tell. Well, she threw some clothes on and a big oversized sweatshirt because it was cold out. Now seeing those photos of course she regreats wearing her comfy outfit. But that just shows you how comfortable Matt and Jenny are with eachother. I love the fact that they can truly be themselves around one another.

And you need that in a relationship. You guys are so much fun!

Connor James Cochran

September 11, 2010 at 9:59pm Connor James Cochran was born weighing 9lbs 4.5oz. 20 inches in length.

Shaina and Dylan gave me the greatest gift of being in the room while she was in labor. I can't thank you enough for giving me that opportunity. I am at lost for words to describe how INCREDIBLE you are Shaina. 22 hours of being labor and I know you wanted to give up but you just kept on pushing through to see your bundle of joy.

I love you so much! I am going to miss seeing Connor grow so much within these next few weeks and months. It makes me so sad but I know he has the best parents in the world. I got to say you have got to take pictures and send them to me :)

I can't believe that I am an Aunt it is the greatest feeling. I think I am still in shock. I love holding him and seeing him make his little noises is just adorable. I am really going to enjoy these last couple of days before I go back home on Wednesday.

It is such a bitter sweet feeling I have at the moment. I just want to be so involved in Connor's life and take tons of photos of him but I am missing my husband and being home. I am so thankful that I was able to be here for everything.

As we were heading out to have a sister day I pulled over and said could we take some photos really fast. Shaina being so GREAT said yeah of course. I walked around the car got the camera out and we started off to the open field.

I have been really wanting to try this one kinda shot so I did it and I have got to say that I LOVE IT....I never do far away shots but I really do love this shot.

Here belly is so cute. We went to the store and it was so funny because people were actually shocked when she would turn to the side they even said to her, "Wow you do not even look pregnant in the back." We would just look at each other and smile.

Shaina you are one BEAUTIFUL prego sis :) I love you so much and thank you for allowing me to capture your beauty.

Dog Sitting

While in Washington Shaina and Dylan are dog sitting. And well it is so nice because Mom, Dad and I get to sleep in beds....yeah....instead of an air mattress.
And well, the dogs are way cute too. It has been nice having a little doggie lay on your lap keeping me all warm. Makes me wanna get a dog.

I flew into Washington a couple days ago. To be here for my nephew's birth. I am so glad that I am here and feel so blessed that I get to be apart of it. What a special moment for me to capture. They will never forget this time in there lives but to have photos to always look back on just makes it that much better.

This is my first time being such a huge part of a birth. Everyday when I wake up I am thinking how can we make this day special? How can I capture what is going on today?

So today Shaina and I are going to have a little sister time at my favorite coffee place in Washington. Cutter's Point!

Here are a couple pictures of the amazing sunset last night. It was so fun watching the sunset while I was cooking dinner. It was so beautiful even through the rain.

Screaming with JOY!!!!!

I wanted to share a couple photos that I took while Shaina was here for my wedding. We went to Brand Park just to take a couple.
And as we just pulled up we actually got stopped by a police officer. Not funny at the time.
He pulled me over because..yup...I did a California Stop. He asked where I was going and I said well actually we are here as we had just pulled up to the parking lot. And he was kind enough to let me go with a warning.

Thank you Mr. Police Officer. You just made my wedding week better for not giving me a ticket. That's what I was thinking ;)

To all that reads my blog I wanted to write this down just so feature reference I like to write down things that happen in my life so that I can read back one day and see what was going on in my life.

Now this was a moment I will never forget.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!

I can't believe that Connor is almost HERE.....Every time Shaina calls me the first thing I say is, " Did your water break?!?" And so far is has been a no :(

But I know he will be here before we know it can I CAN'T WAIT to take pictures of my little Nephew.

Lately when I have been doing newborn photos in the hospital I get a little choked up because I can't help but think soon I will be holding my nephew.
What a huge miracle and blessing children are.

Introducing : John and Natasha Candler

On Friday, January 15th John was banking in on his original battle plan of proposing to his girlfriend of two years to work smoothly and romantically in their church. Unfortunately, not all of his best ideas always pan out and the way in which he proposed to his bride to be was quite an improvisation. With both mom and dad in from Washington state for his birthday (and the secret engagement), John had to think of something quick.

So, after a panicked trip to the local flower shop to buy two pink and green gerber daisies and begging the father Ray for one of Natasha's mother's old rings, John and his supportive folks were off to Pasadena to pick Natasha up from work.

After dropping mom and dad off at the local Starbucks, John nervously parked his car in the alleyway outside the office and waited for Natasha, standing with his arms folded neatly behind his back outside his car. Around the pinky of his sweaty left hand, he wore the ring he would soon put on Natasha's finger. He struggled to prepare somewhat coherent words and thinking about it made the idea of speaking seem even more impossible. Before anything could be decided on, the door opened and Natasha entered the alleyway and saw John standing outside his Ford Focus.

Despite his best efforts, John appeared feverishly nervous while trying to keep a secret (which he has never been good at) and Natasha simply hugged him and proceeded to her car door which John went to open. Natasha uttered a simple comment of surprise when she saw two gerber daises awaiting her on the passenger seat (since it was John's birthday - why would he be buying her flowers?). Before she could formulate any other thoughts, John sheepishly said, "Natty?" and got down on one knee.

Words were a blur and don't truly matter today. The moment was special in mutual tears and a warm embrace. Sometimes it's all we need.

So, with a new addition to the family, John picked up his very excited parents from the Starbucks down the street and immediately multiple phone calls to friends and relatives were being made from inside John's car en route to dinner. The energy inside the car could've blown out all the windows.

Although the plan never was to propose to his future wife in a dark alleyway in Pasadena, it makes for a good story and goes to show that a proposal in a hot air balloon in Napa Valley or a gondola ride in Venice isn't the point. It's all about a man and a woman being honest, vulnerable, and open to whatever the Lord is calling them to do in the moment - the here and now - and that's always much more exciting.

I LOVED all of there details. Natasha's Sister did an AMAZING job with planning everything.

They had an In-N-Out truck what a fun way to have dinner at the wedding.

I will end with this moment that happens so much in there life. It is just so sweet and priceless.

Taking a Learning Day

Everyday I am learning something new for my business. Which I really thrive on doing because everyday I can become better.

For my personal business if l become comfortable in my business I will become stuck.

And becoming stuck in my business is just not an option for me. I always want my clients to have the best and in order for that to happen I need to always be working and learning.

Back to the Grind......

So we have been married for 3 weeks now. And everything is GREAT!

It has been extremely busy for the both of us....work....hanging out with friends...making time for each other. Welcome to life...haha

Next for me is waiting for Shaina to have Connor...Every time I answer the phone I say, "Did your water break?" She laughs and says no but one day it will be "YES!" and I will be on that plane heading to see my first nephew. Okay I get teary-eyed just thinking about it.

Yesterday I had the opportunity of going to the Toluca Lake Golf Course to take some photos of a fun tournament. My station was "Freaky Friday" Guys dress up as girls and Girls dress up as guys. Can you imagine the fun....well....it sure was Funny watching everyone get dressed up.

Adventure in Belize

We were scheduled to do Cave Tubing and Zip-lining but since there was so much rain before we got to Belize there was a flash flood the day we went on our scheduled tour. Cave tubing was out. And we had sad faces on. :(
Instead we went to the Belize Zoo and it was good but no Cave tubing in the dark with a head lamp on. Oh well I guess we will just have to go back.
Zip-lining was spectacular!

This is a photo from the hour and a half boat ride back to Belize city to our adventures. This is the river it had alligators and we also saw an iguana.

We also were able to do some snorkeling.....all I can say is AMAZING

Rain...Rain....Go AWAY

We left Monday morning at 4:00am to be dropped off to the LAX airport by my parents to head to Belize. We had a 2 1/2 hour flight to Dallas, TX then a 2 1/2 hour flight to our final destination Belize. As we were flying over the ocean and seeing some small islands I was thinking I really hope that we get that beautiful weather. But then the rain clouds came and I was saying to Josh I really hope it is not like this the whole time. It was POURING out when we got there. After we landed we took a little charter plane to San Pedro, Belize about a 20 minute flight then a taxi ride to the docks to take a 15 minute boat ride to our location. It was definitely an adventure getting there.

Needless to say God was on our side and blessed us with AMAZING weather for the rest of the week.

THis is a photo of the little restaurant at our resort that we ate at. The food was oh so yummy. We always had the something for breakfast because...well...it was just that good. I got strawberry pancakes and Josh got a belizian breakfast.

We had some friends with us everyday.

This is Las Terrazas beach view of where we stayed. I took advantage of the white lounge chairs and Josh took advantage of the one with the shade over it reading our books.

We walked around in the backside of the resort and just saw some cool old looking things.

I will end with this photo....it just cracks me up....We bought a GoPro camera and we were looking at it trying to figure out how it works. And ended up taking a photo. After we downloaded it and saw this we were laughing so hard.
It actually turned out cool with the lighting....lol....you never know what your going to get with this camera I kinda like that. :)

4 More Days....

I can't believe that it is so close. All my family is here in California.... well almost Dylan arrives on Thursday evening.
Now that they are here it feels unreal. Yesterday is the day when it hit me the emotions started to arise and I was holding back tears all day. My husband to be couldn't be any sweeter just making sure I was okay. And if I needed anything I know he is right there. I love it when he holds me and tells me he loves me. Probably one of my favorite things that he does :)
I think in my head I can't believe that I am going to be a bride. WOW. I am going to be the one getting my hair done, getting my make up done, getting my dress on. ME!
I have dreamed of this day for so long and for it to me within reach is overwhelming emotionally. But in a good way :)

I know I have posted a Ton of this little guy but what can I say I just LOVE HIM!!!!
Yes Micah is just about a year and a half old and cuter then EVER!!! With his curly hair and his adorable little face whenever he sees a helicopter.

I can't help myself but share this growing boy.
Seeing Micah grow up makes me so excited for my sister's to have their babies cause I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THEM!!!!

As I have said before our wedding is all about small details....and in that yesterday I was at the Turnbows waiting for Josh to come back home for the manly help in some other detail making. I was sitting on the couch looking at wedding blogs which I do every single day. I was then reminded again of this WAY CUTE idea. A Hanger that say your future last name to hang your wedding dress on.
OK that is just AMAZING!!!!
So Kiira and I went to the hardware store and got ourselves some wire. Hey might as well do one more thing to make it special...lol...that's what I was thinking.
I have to thank Kiira for making this for me. Seriously you are AMAZING! You did such a good job!

Okay...so now I know why brides say I can't wait till I can just go on my honeymoon and take a break. Now I am there. But at the same time I am enjoying getting the last minute stuff together. I just can't wait to wake up on Saturday and Say I am getting Married today! That day is going to be AMAZING! And I can't wait to see everything come together.

Well it has finally happened Shaina's baby shower. It was a ton of fun and God gave us 80 degree weather for it. Wow! Thank you Lord cause it rained everyday since then.

I first want to thank everyone that helped with this shower I know it was really special for Shaina. She got a ton of stuff..... yes an hour and a half later the last present was opened....lol...

Carrie and Shane Engagement

I can't tell you how much I LOVE being apart of such special moments. Shane proposed to Carrie which OMG I am SO EXCITED for them. They are two of my really good friends and to be a part of this there are just no words really.
Shane took Carrie to the San Diego Zoo in the morning then a Starbucks that means a lot to them then another stop at Newport Beach. Where I was waiting in the sand for them to arrive. Carrie is one funny girl she had no idea that I was there which was awesome.

Then they exchanged gifts for there 4 year anniversary.

Then Shane asked Carrie to close her eyes but she just couldn't trust herself so she put her hood on.

Out in the Sun

I am sitting here in the airport right now. Waking up at 3:00am was way early for me hardly able to keep my eyes open right now but I am so looking forward to seeing my Man in a few hours.
I sit here just thinking how grateful I am for everything. It is just about making me tear up....okay Amy hold it together...... I can't believe all the things that he is doing in my family right now. I feel so blessed to have been given such an AMAZING family from God. I had another busy week in Washington and it was a lot of fun. I am ready to just focus on Wedding now though. Only 40 more days to go. CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY...oh but I am so READY!!!!!

Weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces and 18 inches long. Emily came into this world at 1:41a.m.

Josh and I were able to go to the hospital to take some photos of little Emily for an unforgettable memory of mommy, daddy, and baby in the hospital. These pictures are just priceless and I think that everyone should have them. Even though you do not feel up to a photo shoot you will never have these pictures taken again with your child as a newborn. And babies change SO MUCH from week to week it is always fun to go back and look at these to see how fast they change. And to tell your children look at your Jet Black hair and how tinny your were.

Here is little Emily so precious. And congrats to first time parents Kim and Erik you are going to be AMAZING parents. Can't wait to photograph Emily again :)

I have known them since High School. Peter and Stephanie you both mean so much to me. And I thank you for having me be apart of your AMAZING day. Seeing you together on your wedding day speaking softly to each other, putting a smile on each other's face, and just simply a look of love given to each other are a few things I love about you guys.
As she slipped into her dress she realizes that her dreams are about to come true. As he gets ready with his groomsmen he gives a look of excitement. To be together after waiting for God's timing. You could just feel in the barn that this is what God had planned.
Peter and Stephanie opted to a "First See" before the wedding. And I have got to tell you this was the most emotional for me. As I walked up to Peter to start photographing he was kneeled down taking a moment to himself.

Then as soon as Stephanie came out I just started to get goose-bumps because I could only imagine the excitement that they were going through. As soon as Peter turned to face his bride I just started to get teary-eyed because I could see the love that they had for each other.

These guys were so much fun to work with!!!!

I am so excited to have these invitations made and out in the mail. Josh and I being the creative people that we are were really wanting something to accent our style. So we talked to our friend Kiira and she did exactly that. We explained colors and thoughts and knew that she would do a fabulous job. OMG and she sure did....she nailed it! I can't forget also to give her husband some credit too because he is the one that came up with the saying on the front. He is soooo AMAZING at wording it blows my mind every time.
Then we went to Melina Moss to have them printed. Melina is such an extraordinary person she is the one that I get my DVD's printed from and then she did this for us too. Thank you Melina for helping me out ALWAYS.

Today we are heading up to Santa Barbara to show my mom our location for the wedding ceremony and reception. I am super excited! Even though I am way tired. It will be nice to get out and walk on the sand and enjoy the scenery.
We are stopping first in Calabasa to look at the turtles and take some pictures. Josh's favorite spot. I think it is so cute how much he loves his turtles. He was telling me yesterday when we were at the Descanso Gardens he would one day love to have his office looking out to a pond full of turtles.

When I see these pictures they just put a smile on my face reminding me of the simplest of things make you happy.

Bridal Shower

Wow I have been extremely busy. Never thought that it would be this crazy. I have been want to blog for awhile now. And I am barely fitting it in as I type.
Went to Washington to photograph Peter and Stephanie wedding. It was such a perfect day for photos and they were just the BEST! Then went dress shopping on Saturday and the first dress I tried on I fell in LOVE.
Sunday was a Bridal Shower and having everyone around together chatting away was so much fun.
Monday was painting Connor's room with my dad.
Tuesday was an early morning Maternity shoot with Dylan and Shaina.
Then at 4 we were on the plane back home in California.
To say the least I was extremely tired. And I have been working everyday since I have been home. Well, I think I just need a day of sleeping in and resting my mind. But I don't think that is going to happen until our day has come. Right now I am sooooo looking forward to having a honeymoon.

We headed to the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes it is just so beautiful there. I have never been. Even though Kim and Erik were hoping for a fog free day I think it still turned out wonderful. I know I have said this before but truly being apart of these moments in life is just so special to me. I thank God for giving me this gift to capture moments in peoples lives so that they will not forget their journey.
This has been my very first maternity shoot and seeing the love a child brings a husband and wife is just indescribable. I would have to say that this shoot was soooo much fun! Just because of the love that radiated off of these two love birds. :)

Okay so how cute is this.....
This is my 4x4 size book that I offer. I am SO IN LOVE with these. They are small so that you can stick it in your purse and carry around to share with family and friends at all times. And what a great way to have your memories in an AMAZING album without the big expense.
I loved that these clients of mind chose the pink cover. When I received it in the mail yesterday I had a huge smile on my face because well....pink is my favorite color :)

Kirk Baby Shower - Owl Baby Shower

A few Saturday's ago. I went to Kim's Baby Shower. Walking in you saw a welcome sign with a cute owl on it. Then walking downstairs to the shower. Everything looked amazing in the Owl pink theme. I just had to take some pictures and show off everyone's hard work in putting together this beautiful shower.

Liz: Did most of the decorations to putting the candy bar together to making the sign handmade.

Kim: Made these amazing cupcakes and punched out the owls.

Truly Scrumptious Cooking: Made these cute owl cookies. You got to check them out because they were oh so yummy too.
